Brazilian "Nostradamus" predicts earthquake for Philippines - Tomorrow!
Written by Paolo
Thursday, 17 July 2008

ImageBrazilian psychic Jucelino Nobrega da Luz prophesied that thousands of Philipinos would die in an 8.1 magnitude earthquake to strike the Philippines tomorrow. Dubbed as the Modern Day Nostradamus, Nobrega da Luz has created a stir worldwide when he claimed to have predicted the death of Princess Diana and the 9/11 terror attack, the tsunami that wreaked havoc in Indonesia on December 26 four years ago, a further Tremor in Sumatra, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and the winning of the soccer world championship by Italy. His predictions are reported to have been notarized for authenticity.

A 47-year-old school teacher, Nobrega da Luz has made predictions which span more than 30 years. Among his prophecies this year are another Empire State Building terror attack and a 9.1 magnitude earthquake in China, both happening in September.

Jucelino Nobrega da Luz  did obviously predict many events:  the Tsunami on 26/12/2004 in Indonesia,  the correct location of Saddam Hussein in Tikrit.  On December 23, 2007 a great earthquake with a magnitude of 8.5 on Richter scale would shock the indonesian Island of Sumatra. The Indonesian authorities took the warning for December 23rd seriously because the Brasilian teacher of English and German was 2 times right with precise prophecies of Earthquakes.    full story

UPDATE: 19 JUL- No Quake for Philippines

No earthquake of a magnitude 8.1 hit the Philippines as predicted would occur on July 18, 2008 - There was a magnitude 4.8 on the 17th of July in the Philippines reported by the USGS  see - Philippines 4.8 magnitude quake

There was a magnitude 7 earthquake in Japan on July 18th but still no 8.1 quake in the Philippines.

Jucelino,

Do you have any predictions regarding next President of the U.S.? Do you have any insight into gasoline crisis. Thank you.

The earth is out of balance...and will remain so until we stop burning those fuzzy things that come from trees. I predict the end of the planet as we know it if we continue to burn that stuff. That and pizza rolls!

Good news is that we can burn witch's again!!

Just because the guy has a "prediction" doesn't mean he can voluntarily pull information out of his @$$! Predictions come to people as *intuitions.* We all have this gift; sometimes we excuse them as déjà vu or other weird 'gut-feelings' that we can't explain or even refuse to acknowledge. Then again, it could be the dank reefer in Brazil.

Sad to think people believe in false prophets or doomsayer. Yes! It didn't happen as expected. Not unusual but we do know it will happen but not just this area but around the 'ring the fire'. Yet, there were many who back 2000 predicted the same thing with 911 was coming [airplanes flying into buildings, tidal waves, floods, food shortage, and so forth], yet no one listened. Now someone who I never heard of claiming such....LOL

There are some who even predicted how OPEC, oil corporate will use California as a model to artificially inflate gasoline before applying the same to the rest of the country and then the world. That was 2001....the same person revealed many of so-called techniques with manipulating the prices [remember, Cali does not receive OPEC oil] from shutting down good wells to cutting back on output from the wells. He was right on...even to exposing the latest scam of Futures Commodities with energy and food; changing the latest dynamics of the old business 'supply and demand' model to now a speculation. Which is no different than gambling...even to exposing who is currently the largest buyer of those futures - OPEC.

We have folks likes this throughout the globe...who are sensitive to the spirit in receiving this information.

Even though its a miss prediction, Casinos should not allow him in the building. Japan and the Phillipines are very close on the global map. Also, the 1st reports was a 7.0 from msnbc which is considered pretty big number in its own right. Nostradamus, too, also had many misses. He spelled Hitler as Hister. So what? That's a hit to the average observer even though he missed his name. Let's stop nit-picking.

He also did get many things correct and they were documented, hence the panic in the Philippines over this.

No psychic is 100% accurate. How could they be? We can change our minds at any time. They can only tell you "if all factors remain constant, this or that is the likely outcome." They can see "probable" futures.

People have to understand how psychic ability works. He was very close on the map to Japan and very close on magnitude. I would expect perfection, but I am also distracted in my work sometimes and come close to the mark and still have an effective result.

The Japan earthquake was 2000 miles from the Philippines. Sorry, that is not close enough to count as an accurate prediction. (Also it was no where near the strength of the 8.1 magnatude predicted.) That would be like saying a 4.5 eartquake in Indiana is close to being a 7.1 earthquake in California. NOT!

I look at the USGS earthquake website most everyday and I can say that magnatude 4-6 earthquakes happen many times each and every day all over the world, especially around the Pacific rim. Make a prediction of a quake anywhere around the Pacific rim on any given day and there is a very good chance a quake will happen within 3000 miles of any point you want to choose. Making predictions like that is like predicting that the sun will rise in the morning. Not really a prediction IMO.

I think all of these so called psychics and prophets are no more than common charlatans that get lucky with a prediction once in a while. They can't really predict anything any better than you or I can! They are all phoney balogna!

well, we all now knew that the prediction is jst a prediction, we shd consider who predicts or prophesied,is he a man of GOD or jst a psychic somewhere around the earth?
For me, let's stop making bad comments abt this person who predicts, bec, im sure he himself knows what comes ahead of him from this time on.
Why dnt we thank God and pray continously that nothing wil happen worst to our country, and if ever calamities comes in the future, God will save us not only our physical bodies but as well as our soul!
God is jst watching us from a distance, he knows every heart, He seeks the humble and protects them. so lets concentrate more on good things and stop blaming this man..
after all , isn't we thankful that many were reminded of praying and loving one another knowing that it will be the end of the world? We all scared that time until july 18 was over...so lets be thankful to GOD , instead of making terrible bad and funny comments abt this man!
Whether he predicts true or not....lets forget that! ...
Let's FIX our eyes to our "CREATOR" the Author of our lives! The EVER POWERFUL GOD who knows exactly the END of the earth !! AMEN !!!

WELL I really agree with frogg and akiba, although he did get the japan earth quake correct, see my last post above,im surprised he didnt anounce that one he was dead on. i guess he just is a fake or confused, because there are earth quakes every day through the pacific rim, anybody can make a guess as frog said and if you look on his site most of his prophecies are about obvious natural events like hurricanes, earth quakes and the usual yearly s+++, he just does his home work. i agree this guy ruined his career. i mean the guy hears a voice of a spirit, is this spirit f++++++ with him, the spirit is f+++++ up! it made him look like a fool. if it was his intuition or vision ok, but its a voice!

No psychic is 100% accurate. It's not possible. Do you call a doctor a fake fraud or phony just because one of his patients dies? It's not like he's making money for doing these predictions anyway, so chill haters.

May be the day missed. But the month August involves Solar and Lunar eclipses as well as two full moon period, in which seismic activities are so strong. Please wait and see. If the sun shines properly at my place I am able to give the location and magnitude and time frame to the tune of 60 to 80% accuracy...visit my website earthquake.itgo.com for further details.

friend told me a Catholic pastor friend of theirs predicted the Big earthquake in California to be this December on Christmas day, and every one there should get their faith sorted out. Has any one else heard any prediction regarding this?
