"The word psychic can mean so many strange things in our lexicon, and I like 'intuition' because it is a sense. It's an ability to gather information that you haven't been exposed to before," she said one afternoon at her cozy three-bedroom apartment in New York's Tribeca district. "Once you add 'psychic,' it's like I drink wheat grass, I talk to dead people."

She doesn't do either of the above, but she does consult with companies looking for a boost or a much needed competitive edge. She's helped talent agencies choose new clients, tech companies revamp their marketing teams, and lawyers have used her to help select juries.

Her celebrity clients include Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman and Demi Moore, who considers Day a close friend.

Her five-figure fee guarantees 24-hour access to her, and she works with no more than five companies at a time. She claims to have made more than $10 million over the course of her 15-year career, and business is booming, she adds. She even has a waiting list.

$10,000 per month from 5 companies??? Wow. She must be one of the highest paid psychics in the business. I never heard of the word intuitionist. She made it up. She's a psychic.

I agree.... wether they call themseles psychics, mediums, clairvoyants, and now "intuitionists" they are all doing the same thing really..... she doesn't want to be associated with that name....

I am a born psychic/medium and a registered nurse by profession. I can relate to Laura's reluctance to be called a psychic. I too was reluctant because the very name seems to denote something from the sci-fi zone. I applaud her for comming up with it. I gave up and gave in LOL. By the way Laura, can I get a Job with you?

And real everyday people--who could actually use her help just to survive--be damned. Only celebrities and tycoons need apply. I wonder if this is how God intended that she use her abilities or whether having amassed $10 million is enough for her. However she incarnates in her next life, I'd wager that the veil will be pulled down tightly. Wake up, Laura Day. You are misusing your abilities.

I do a great deal of free work. Come to one of the free Barnes and Noble workshops that I do every month. Making a living and supporting your community are not mutually exclusive. In fact, you need to have to give.

First of all she helps everyone around her.... hence writing the book Practical Intuition. She wrote the book so you can too use your natural intuition in which we all have. You shouldn't judge people unless you know what they are really about.

Bravo intuitionist is elegant. We all have this gift some of us hear it and some of us don't. Quiet your mind and you will hear your intuition instustions too. As Abraham Lincoln said, "most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be."
