Song lyrics predict tragedy
Written by Dan Seidner

First, let me say that I have never had a psychic experience nor do I believe in psychic phenomena.  But maybe after this experience, my beliefs will begin to shift.

This past Saturday I started making up my own little bit of a tune, so I decided to try to put lyrics to it.  After a few minutes of trying a few different things I came up with "There was a train, in the Ukraine".  There was one more little piece to the tune that I needed to add lyrics to.  After a few tries at that I came up wth "killed a family of four".  I'm not a morbid person, but I was looking for something interesting to say about a train in Ukraine.

The next day I was watching CNN and was paying particular close attention to the ticker.  After about a minute this headline ran across: "Ukranian train collision kills six".  Needless to say I was stunned.

I think there are three possible explanations for this.  One is that it's a total coincidence -- which is the possibility that I put the most in stock in right now.  Another is that I heard the news report without realizing it -- and the idea seeped into my subconscious.  (The train actually collided before I came up with the lyrics).  The third possibility is that it was psychic.

I think that my great-grandfather was from Ukraine, so now I am actually curious to find out who the victims of this train crash are and see if they are related to me.  If it turns out that thone is related, I will be thoroughly freaked out, and without a doubt a full fledged beliver in psychic phenomena.
