 My reading with Jaena was incredibly accurate, and also was a very healing experience for me. She meditates before the session in order to receive information about the client, and takes notes on all of the impressions she receives. The first thing Jaena told me on the phone was "important" (she had written this next to her notes). Almost word for word, she relayed an argument I had about 6 years previously with another person in my life. As soon as she started talking, I was transported back to that time, and re-experienced all the feeling associated with that experience. I think the reason that particular information came through is because it was a turning point in my life. It was when I made up my mind about how I would relate to people in personal relation ships.
Jeana also brought through names of guides and relatives who have crossed over. She touched on just about every aspect of my life which was at the time of the reading on my mind. Jaena pinpointed very accurately the main troubles I have had in my past. More than good guesses, she had me squirming in my seat. How could she know such intimate details as when I have had relationships, when I had traveled in life? How did she know what I did for business? She said she saw me around a lot of military (true, I work on a military base), she said in the future she saw a personal business taking off. She specifically told me that her guides said that I would be getting large contracts and subcontracting to smaller companies. I do have a small business, and I do currently bid on contracts and subcontract to others. I have been getting my business set up to do exactly what she saw. Interview with Jaena Moynihan – Spiritual Medium
MC: Jaena, when did you first realize that you were different form others, and had these abilities of yours?
JM: I suppose I always knew that I was different but I understood that I could see things that others couldn’t when I was about 7 years old. I used to keep an empty chair next to my desk in school for “Charlie”, who I thought was a student that everyone ignored because he was different. I empathized with him because I was ignored too and I used to get in trouble for speaking to him during class. The teacher played along for a little while but eventually had enough and yelled at me that “no one was there!”
MC: Did your abilities develop naturally, or did you have to really work at it?

MC: Do you recommend any books that are helpful in developing psychic abilities?
JM: I recommend “Opening to Channel” and “Spiritual Growth” by Sanaya Roman as well as “The Psychic Pathway” by Sonia Choquette
MC: Can you describe in detail what it is like when you are having a vision about someone’s future, or explain how it is given to you by your guides?
JM: Future visions have a “feeling” to me like they are in front of me. It’s hard to describe but I will see or hear or feel things that seem “forward” to me. I may here, “new career opportunity” and then ask if it’s around now, in recent past, or just ahead and there is the above described feeling that comes in to let me know the approximate time frame. Because I am clairaudient, sometimes I will just hear “6 weeks” or something along those lines. It really is different for each session. It’s all about identifying the way that you receive it and/or asking Spirit to give you a certain trigger (like goose bumps) that acts as a validation for you.
MC: Why are you doing this work? What motivates you?
JM: I do this work because I enjoy helping people find hope, peace, and anything that helps them feel good about the way their lives are. This life is so unpredictable, really. And we are all so small in the larger scheme of things; it’s nice to feel like you are a part of something greater. I also love helping others find closure so that they can move onward in their lives towards their highest success. I’m motivated by seeing my clients feel better after speaking with me than they did before and I am extra motivated by seeing people’s lives change in positive ways as a result of integrating the truth and love that Spirit brings.
MC: What is the format of your psychic readings if you have one? In other words, do you start in a particular way?
JM: Yes, I begin by meditating for about half an hour before each session and taking notes on my impressions via automatic writing. In that time, I also do a numerological analysis of the name and birth date of the client. I open the session with a prayer to call upon the highest good and then I speak for awhile about what I felt before I spoke with the client. After that, and provided the client can relate to what I am saying, I then open up the session for Q&A.
MC: How do you suggest that people prepare for a reading with you?
JM: I suggest they get comfortable and relaxed in whatever way works for them; that’s the most important. Saying a silent prayer and taking time to get clear about what you want to know is also very important. Write your questions down and be open to the fact that many of them may be answered before you even get to ask them.
MC: Besides readings, do you do any other work in this area like radio, seminars etc?
JM: I occasionally go on the radio and offer readings as well as teaching classes and workshops at various times throughout the year. I always post upcoming events on my website as well as send info about them in my free monthly newsletter.
MC: Do you prefer doing phone readings or in-person readings, and why?
JM: I like in-person and phone readings for different reasons. I like phone readings because I can be in my sweat pants with my hair in a ponytail and no make-up; it’s very relaxing for me! I also like phone sessions because they challenge me more; you can’t read body language over the phone! I love in-person sessions because I enjoy connecting with people in a physical way and the personal aspect is comforting for many clients.
MC: Is there anything else you would like to tell people about your abilities? Do you have advice for “closet mediums” or people who may have similar gifts but do not understand what is happening to them?
JM: Yes, my abilities are constantly changing and developing and I feel like a constant work in progress on an intuitive as well as human level. I am always learning more about Spirit and what I can do to bring the messages of Spirit across. It really is an ever-evolving journey that thrills me daily.
