Get a Good Reading | How to get a good psychic reading |
There are many factors involved with getting a psychic reading. There are things to look out for, and ways you can prepare for your special reading. If you've never had a reading, first and foremost, try to relax. Here are some pointers you may want to consider before you have your psychic or mediumistic reading. I am no expert, I have just had more experiences with them than most. 1. Find out what you want first - What type of information are you looking for? You should choose between a psychic and a medium. They are not the same. generally a medium connects with spirits, guides or the deceased, and conveys messages to you the sitter. A psychic can read your aura and can see what is forming in your future. So if you want to try to communicate with someone who has crossed over, or if you want to try to connect to your own guides for spiritual reasons you will want to talk to a medium. If you want to know about your future, find a lost pet, or about the guy next door you would be better off talking to a psychic. The reason I say this, is because many higher guides (mediumistic reading) will not convey trivial information. Some will only give you information that will help you spiritually on your path. Every guide is different, and has different interests just like us, so you should talk to your medium or channel about what kind of subjects their guide is interested in. Most mediums will say what they specialize in., (love, career, connecting with deceased, etc.) if it is not clear, just ask them. Think of it as finding a specialist. You wouldn't go to an eye doctor to complain about your kidneys. Do the research and find your specialist.2. Choose the best time - We all have bad days. Try to plan your reading for a time when you will be calm. Even a common cold can cause some problems with connecting. Some people suggest avoiding doing your readings during a void course of the moon since results can be erratic. Some psychics won't want to do a reading during a Mercury or Venus retrograde. In my opinion, the best readings are done when the moon is waxing or full. I feel form experience, that this enhances the psychic abilities and connection to some extent. 3. Meditate or relax your mind before the reading. - Many psychics and mediums I have worked with meditate for a time before they even talk to you on the phone. They connect with their guides and get some information about you before the session begins. Almost all of them suggest that the sitter try to connect with their spirit as well before the reading. This will help them make a connection. Also, if you are going to be speaking with a psychic medium or medium, you may want to try to connect with the person on the other side who you wish to communicate with. Just think about them.... let them know in your own way that you will be trying to contact them. Some who call themselves "psychic mediums" will offer readings of both nature. They may prepare for the sessions differently. For instance, if you you chose a "psychic reading" the reader may choose to spend some time opening their third eye chakra, or meditating in a certain way, or even connecting to a different guide who is more able to answer the type of questions you have. 4. Get your questions ready before the session - It's hard when you are in the moment to ask questions of spirit unless you have them prepared before hand. Most mediums and psychics will have a format to the way they do the reading, and usually include a period at the end when you can ask specific questions. Have them prepared! Try not to interrupt the reader too much, as this can break the connection to spirit. The reader is acting as a translator for you and it takes some concentration, so wait till the alloted time before you start asking your questions and interrupting the medium. You may find that your questions will be answered without you even asking. Be still, keep quiet! 5. Get a reading with a medium and a psychic. - If you can afford it, I recommend getting a reading from the best medium you can afford, and another reading with the best clairvoyant or psychic you can muster up the cash for. It gives a nice perspective, and when you hear the same message coming from two different readers, it certainly adds credibility. For instance, I had two psychic readings one week, and both psychics told me almost the same thing about my future love life. Both said I would meet an "M" name in California in my 46th year with sandy blond hair. Both gave a description of the personality, and both matched. One of the psychics even gave the name,birth sign, occupation. I believe they both saw one of my probable futures. I will report back in 5 years as to the outcome! If you are searching Google for a psychic, make sure to take note of the following before you hand over your credit card info: * Does the website look professional or does it look like a heavily marketed click zone? * Are there any testimonials (real looking) to back-up the psychic's abilities? * Are there profiles for each reader and a way to contact em directly? * Do you see "psychic readings per minute?" Run! If you've done your research, and have found the right medium or psychic, having a psychic or mediumistic reading can be one of the most profound experinces. If you prepare before hand, you may have a much better experience for it. |
