A 27-year-old woman who allegedly is from a family of fraudulent psychics has been sentenced to 60 days in jail for tricking a brokenhearted woman out of $108,000 and a Corvette, after she promised to rid her of evil spirits.
Lisa Miller of San Francisco is now free. She has already served her two months in jail — the sentence handed down to her Friday by Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Kenneth Barnum.
But Miller was also ordered to be on probation for five years — forbidden to engage in any more fortune telling, love spell casting, tarot card reading or spiritual advising ever again, according to the terms of the no contest plea of "theft under a false pretense" she signed in September. >> Full Story
A friend of mine from high school from 25 years or so ago, sent me an email recently with a quote from one of the old songs we used to listened to back then.
I went through my dusty CD's and found it! When I listened back to it I was transported back to what was probably my first trance channeling experience. This is the song that I was listening to when I was the passenger in a friends car driving back from Boston. This song was playing by Nina Hagen. At some point I saw myself looking at bubbles. it was like I was looking down in the water at all these bubbles coming up at me... It was beautiful I remember thinking. Then this large bubble came shooting up at me and I could see that there was a face in it. The face looked straight at me and said "Watch out for the truck!"
I woke up straight away and my friend was right in the middle of a passing maneuver. There was a large 18 wheeler right next to us on the right. I was panicked because of the intensity of the dream or vision I had just had. Everything was in slow motion as the truck started moving into our lane. He didn't see us!! ... I yelled out that he was going to hit us. My friend had to swerve the car into the breakdown lane to avoid is getting crushed under the truck.

In the upcoming film Men Who Stare At Goats Kevin Spacey plays a former psychic soldier, who's now running a prison camp in Iraq.
The film, based on Jon Ronson's nonfiction book, explores the secrets behind the U.S. Army's First Earth Battalion who tried to harness paranormal abilities to bring down the enemy.
The film will have a star studded cast, including: George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges, and of course Kevin Spacey.
About the film, Casey said, "I don't think that they'll ever acknowledge that any of this was ever true. But apparently it is and I find it rather you know, there's a part of it that's very amusing, that some of these people thought that they could walk through walls, and there's a part of it that's actually kind of interesting when you think about the power of the human mind. So I hope the film will be a lot of fun, we're certainly having a lot of fun making it."
NEW YORK (AP) — Even a make-believe psychic couldn't spot the scam when an actor disrupted a scene for "Medium" involving Patricia Arquette, who stars as psychic Allison DuBois in the NBC drama.
After the unruly extra was ejected by security, the truth became clear: He was chameleonic comic prankster Sacha Baron Cohen in his identity as outrageous fashion reporter Bruno.
It was unclear how Cohen gained entry to the set, and whether he was secretly filming his performance for his own use, according to Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the incident. But prior to the Nov. 7 invasion in Los Angeles, Cohen had been shooting other "crash" footage for his new film, a followup to his comedy hit "Borat."
