I had a really weird experience a few months ago which I am now calling a ghostly encounter.  I was on the couch in my living room watching tv, and I noticed that my dog (on the couch next to me) woke out of a sound sleep and was looking straight ahead and his eyes were going whacky for a second, then they were following something around in circles. I thought at first that he was having a seizure, but later it seemed more like he was looking at something that wasn't really there, or at least that I couldn't see. The thought that came to mind when I looked at him was that this is what it would look like if someone was standing in front of him with a flash light twirling it in circles.

I fell asleep myself after about an hour or so once I realized he was okay.  When I woke up, almost as abruptly as my dog had an hour earlier, my vision wouldn't quite focus.  Or at least that is what it seemed like at first.  It was like I was looking at the world through tears in my eyes.  The weird part was that I could see something moving in a circular motion right in front of me.  It was like the outline of a human form almost.  I looked at it for a few minutes.  As I was looking at this shape, I realized that this is what my dog must have seen earlier.  As sson as I "shook my head' and wiped my eyes, it was gone.  I could see it going though right out my bay window in my family room. 

This was not just a dream or group halucination either....  the whole energy in the room felt strange, and my dog was very upset by it. It didn't really feel safe to me. I had a sense of fear, and I could smell that smell that dogs release out of thier butts when they get frightened  ; )
